Hi, I'm Carolyn.

 

Storytelling is the essential component to any project in my experience as a Communication Studies student. As a second-year student, I've found that living in a big city has given me the opportunity to see the story behind the ordinary and the mundane.

I've learned that the key to storytelling is staying aware. Awareness is more than staying up-to-date on your social media feed. Awareness is about opening yourself to understand the lives and unique experiences of those around you. Staying politically active and socially conscious is the key to not only gaining insight to these experiences, but it's the key to becoming a successful storyteller.

I'm seeking to expand my knowledge and apply my experience as a writer, editor, and web content producer through a summer internship here in Chicago. I aim to explore my passions for reporting, writing, radio, politics, and public speaking.
